Evidence for SLC

Hi all,

Can anyone advise please, I have updated my details with the SLC and they have now asked for my partner to sign a document to prove he supports me and provide evidence... eg bank statements showing how he supports me, we have a joint account that I use as and when but have no 'payments' from him to show he gives me x amount each month to live off, I understand they need to have up to date info and if Im not paying they want to know why but im not comfortable sending bank statements, what info do they take from them? Also it is a massive breach of my husbands data protection to send that info surely
Also am sure the answer to this is no but this doesn't make him accountable in any way for my loan does it? It just doesn't seem right they they would hold that much information on a person that has no account with them
Thanks is advance

In order to be assessed for grants, the legislation states his income must be taken into account.

Alternatively, you can choose not to provide the documentation and instead receive less funding than you are possibly entitled to.

I had this before with my girlfriend. All I did was sign the form and send it off, possibly with a covering letter explaining our situation. I'd try that as a start and see if they request more evidence, I doubt they will.
