That's just my petrol, Dp's is a lot more. Most months Dp manages to pay on time but it didn't matter so much before because i could cover it if the worst came to the worst, now i can't, i feel so helpless. I would in normal circumstances get a full time job but with a baby on the way i can't.

The mobiles are for two people, me and my eldest child who has left home. I'm still paying it until he gets a job. They are both relatively new two year contracts.

Sky i'm going to try and cancel the tv package and just keep the internet.

I've just realised I've missed off the AA at £16 a month, Tax credits over payment of £20 a month and dinner/snack/milk money of £48 a month off my SOA.

Are you benefits correct on your SOA? so they've been cut to £446.2?

If so Tixy is right you are so close to making ends meet, I'd definitely try and slim line your food bill and cut stuff out as much as possible til your credit card payments reduce. Think you'll be fine!

I'd look at combining your finances (even if it's just for while you are on maternity leave). It may make life a little easier, and less stressful to figure out your money.

DH needs to look at this work, I know self-employment is hard, but he still needs to make money, could he do some bar work, even a few hours a week will help out!

I've spoken to Dp about getting a different job, even if he earns less at least we will know where we are each month. He doesn't like the idea though.

I can probably cut back and makes ends meet but it only takes one month of Dp not paying his £600 and it will all go belly up.

You've got to have a sit down with him luvvy, show him the numbers.

You've got 2 kids to look after it's not about whether you want to or not, what is the alternative! You've had money problems for a while that is why you have debt, you need to sort it out.

Hammer it home to him, you've both got to get it sorted.

I'm trying to talk to him now via text, he's just saying he can't get a proper job, he will be paid peanuts and hate it and we will be worse off. I've shown him the numbers. he's just saying he will move out then, because that's really helpful with a baby on the way.

Dont do it by text, you need to sit down together face to face.

It's important to do this calmly, he's too distracted right now.

You need to discuss it openly, show him the options, and let him think it over.

But yeah get some over the phone advice too, youre not alone.

I hate to say this but your numbers are wrong. Are you honestly saying that you never get a hair cut or buy new clothes? You really need to complete a full budget review, including all costs broken down monthly, or even weekly. I can tell you I spend 36p a week for my yearly dentist visits. Once you have done this you'll know exactly where you stand and how much you can afford each month. You'll need to be completely honest and you'll be shocked as to where the money really goes.

What is the other insurance? I'm guessing its company insurance.

Firstly the sat\cable needs to go, do you even need the internet, most mobiles with the package you have contain a good amount of data.

If your other half isn't willing to change jobs then he'll simply have to work part time around his job.

    I'm back now.

I don't ever go to the hairdresser, I cut mine and Ds's hair. We get free prescriptions and dental treatment.

The other insurance is accidental damage/theft/loss for the mobiles and the kids laptops.

I don't get enough data to get rid of the broadband but I will be cancelling the tv package part of the sky bill.
