Car insurance - cosmetic - bumps & scratches

Have avoided all the dealer sold insurances, but after a colleague had their car badly scratched & dented last week in a car park(no they kindly did not leave a sorry note)

I am thinking to take out this extra insurance, any company recommendations?

Thanks

How many times are you expecting to make a claim?

I have no idea- hopefully not at all but after hearing so many stories about car parks bangs & scratches then it got me thinking, the only reason asking is that I will be using a public car park quite a bit until we move into new premises. Rather than claiming through insurance or out of my own pocket - I thought this might be worth considering.......

So you're thinking of two policies on your car, one for driving and one for car park damage?

What do you think another policy will cost with no no claims?

There are policies specifically intended for cosmetic damage...

I don't think you can insure the same risk twice, or perhaps if you do they will share the claims. Check first with the ins co.

The whole idea of cosmetic insurance is to save you having to lose your NCD over a small claim

    It's perfectly "legal".

Your normal insurance doesn't cover wear and tear scratches etc

Why the quotes round legal? Do you mean it's not?

Nothing on my policy excludes scratches.
