RE generators built using RE generation ..... sounds like a good plan to me.
Envision Sets Most Ambitious 100% Renewable Energy Target For Mainland ChinaShanghai-based energy technology manufacturer Envision has joined the global RE100 initiative with the most ambitious and earliest 100% renewable energy target out of all member companies from mainland China, committing to be powered by 100% electricity by 2025.
Envision, a manufacturer of wind turbines, energy management software, and energy technology services, will look to wind energy and solar energy coupled with smart energy management to reach its new 100% renewable energy target, and will seek to supply renewable electricity to its battery factories located in Japan, the United States, and the United Kingdom.Further, companies in the commercial and industrial sector currently account for approximately two-thirds of the world’s end-of-use electricity, meaning that large-scale adoption of renewable energy technology in the C&I sector could yield significant reductions in emissions and accelerate the transition to a clean economy.Mart. Are you sure they were really small turbines or could they have been a bit further away than you realised ?

The govt has pulled a massive lever with zero benefit in kind tax on EVs from next March - given how well companies respond to such signals I suspect that supply will be the big constraint next year.I think....0 -
Sometime I think the World has gone mad. We had Trump this week rolling back legislation on low energy lightbulbs, coz nobody wants cheaper (& cleaner) leccy bills?
And still the World invests in more FF reserves and extraction than we can ever utilise.
Oil and gas companies undermining climate goals, says reportMajor oil and gas companies have invested $50bn (£40.6bn) in fossil fuel projects that undermine global efforts to avert a runaway climate crisis, according to a report. The study is the first to analyse individual projects to test whether they are compliant with a 1.5C world, and whether they would be financially sustainable in a low-carbon world.
It found that none of the largest listed oil and gas companies are making investment decisions that are in line with global climate goals, and risk wasting $2.2tn (£1.8tn) by 2030 if governments take a tougher stance on carbon emissions.Mart.
