please could i ask you to sign this petition please it is for all children to be screened for sads.... sudden adult death syndrome...Stop this Silent Killer -Educate the world and offer screening to all children to prevent SADS abd CRY.' -- Gillian Shield In 2004 a Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) Screening Bill was introduced http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/Silent-Killer/ thank you very much

  • Thanks Kez1234 I didn't know about this, have signed and will pass it on to all my friends/family.
    I could of been victim to SADS. I've had 2 cardiac arrests as I have Long QT Syndrome, which is a condition that although rare is becoming all too prevalent. It is a condition that people don't know they've got until either like me they have an arrest, have 'fainting' attacks or are the unlucky ones and don't make it.
    I am doing a sponsored trek/walk to Sorrento in September to raise money for the British Heart Foundation for people born with conditions that bring on SADS, like myself. The link is here:

    Thank you I have a friend who was actualy a bit older than the normal age range (26) but it is still a sadly neglected disease? (is that the right word?)

    Nobody seems to ever tell you the nature of the problem!!
