Unfortunately, that's pretty much the way it is. You have to collect the evidence in case they do question it but the sad fact is that 99% of the advisors just want to rubber stamp you and move onto their next appointment ASAP.
Unless they've been shouted at that morning for not sanctioning enough people.0 -
No it is all kept internally so don't worry
Profile and Claimant Commitment due to speed typing and didn't go back to fix these - I'm worried how this will look to prospective employers - do they even see this, actually
No just two days worth1) Given that my first sign on appt is only two days after my initial interview, will my activity log be expected to be quite full - as in two weeks' worth of job seeking activity - since sign days are usually fortnightly?
2) If you are getting Child Benefit and they are under 12 you can ask (well demand) your Claimant Commitment is amended to reflect your childcare commitments. And so I agreed on the 90 mins. Is this true?
You can complete the 'plan' bit for the next two weeks then say "all activity recorded under Universal Jobmatch Activity History" for the outcome (as long as you do record it). And YES bring the bring the Work Plan book every time you come in.3) I was given a 'My Work Plan' book which the adviser explained is to help me plan my days of job seeking. Is this something I must take with me at each sign date? Have i to complete this as well as the activity log on Universal Job Match.
Yes you have to Register but access is your choice. If you decide not to you might be asked to provide 'evidence' of your search on UJM via print outs but you don't have to allow access. PERSONALLY do you want the grief of a full evidence submission? Your choice.4) But I was under the impression it was my decision whether or not I wanted my adviser to have access to my profile.
This worries me - you want the Jobcentre to be a dictator as to how you find a job? Aren't they there to help you not tell you? THEY CAN'T DOP THE INTERVIEWS FOR YOU5} I'm not entirely certain how many hours I should be spending each day job searching, how many jobs each week she wants me to apply for etc.
Sorry you are sounding like you you are ticking bokers to comply rather then going out there - it is down to you, not the Jobcentre, to go get a job.....0 -
Not at all ArtoDeeto.
I've just terrified myself by reading about how quickly sanctions are made on people's claims when they don't do exactly as asked by their adviser.
I didn't want the same to happen to me, hence all my questions and my wanting to do everything correctly.
I have two interviews coming up next week, so I'm feeling hopeful.
Thank you for everyone's advice/help.0
