ignore everything except an LBC or MCOL from VCS
especially ignore DRP like it says in post #4 of the NEWBIES sticky thread
VCS have up to 6 years to bring a small claims court case (MCOL)0 -
If you are getting letters from debt recovery then it looks like you missed your chances to appeal???
You are safe to ignore the debt collectors.
If you get a court claim you need to read up the newbies thread again on what to do.0 -
thankyou! i did only receive one letter before it got passed to the debt collectors though, i chanced it by ignoring the first0

which now puts you into total ignore mode (or be daft enough to pay , lol)
if it went to court (by VCS), and you lost in court , you pay what the judge says within the time allowed (usually 28 days)
if 6 years passes, its dead in the water
you were given a parking ticket for a road where you cannot park, on non-relevant land under POFA 2012
have a read of parking pranksters JLA blogs, tells you all about it0 -

VCS manage JLA (and RHA and other ones too)
so somebody "employed" by or on behalf of VCS used the anpr car or van to take pictures of your vehicle stopping on the roadway , then VCS sent you an invoice pcn in the post as detailed on their signage (which they change constantly)
so VCS are the claimant , they then employ DRP or some other debt collectors to chase up payment
I suspect you have had letters from both VCS and from DRP0 -

Traffic Enforcement Officers sound more like council officials, but we know they don't operate at JLA. It will almost certainly be VCS - but you are nearer to the paperwork than we are, I don't know why you think we are better placed.
We only deal with private parking charges, usually up to the point they are 'appealable'. Receipt of a debt collector's letter is normally beyond the appeal stage; there is no silver bullet on this forum to get the debt collectors to disappear from your life, but the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, post #4, will help you understand your options. Basically it is ignore, unless you get real court papers (but not the letter which says 'we may recommend to our client that they should consider court action' - or similar words!).Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

doesnt look like you know what LBC or MCOL mean (despite the acronyms explanation in the NEWBIES sticky thread)
I think that you think they are businesses
(they arent) 0 -
i dont think you are better placed, im just new, confused and dont want to misinterpret.. i read the post as mentioned but it really didnt make much sense to me personally. thank you anyway.I don't know why you think we are better placed.
