Green Deal HIF Voucher reduced?
Recently we were successful in applying for the Green Deal HIF, went through the whole rigmarole, GDAR, quotes, voucher approved, two measures done (boiler and cavity wall insulation) and finally sent all paperwork in. We qualified for the full £1,850 as we'd moved in last 12 months and claimed the £100 advice report back.
This morning, received an email stating voucher redemption successful, however the amount has changed to £1,350. The reason given is:
The payment has been calculated to reflect the amount you paid for the work as indicated on the invoices provided, and in line with the GDHIF Terms and Conditions.
We do not understand why they have deducted £500, as the work we were quoted for has been carried out as quoted, and I cannot see in the T&Cs what they might be referring to? I'm wondering if they've withheld the HomeBuyers Bonus, as that is exactly £500, but we uploaded proof we moved less than 12 months ago, which was accepted.
Any ideas? Have emailed the scheme administrators, but they take ages to reply.
Not been too impressed with them to be honest, we had a few niggles with the paperwork being rejected for minor errors, but this was sorted after much to-ing and fro-ing. Mainly because the GDHIF reasons were not very informative or specific, much like the reason given for knocking £500 off just like that!
