One tip when you apply to open a second account or more, log in to your account first or their software won't recognise you as an existing customer and you will have to spend ages as I did getting them to add the new account to your first one online unless you want seperate sign in and security details for each account, which then flags up possible suspicion about your legitimacy as a customer!
My OH and I both have Tesco current and savings accounts. When I opened my 2nd Internet Saver it worked smoothly. On my wifes it goes all the way through to acceptance but instead of (like mine) giving the a/c details, it says your details will be in your welcome pack which they will send and then need to register for online banking. As in the quote above looks like they are treating it as a new application
Both of us were logged in during application and details were appropriately pre-completed by system.
Any body had this?
Cheers

Sorry cannot switch Joint A/cs, unless you opt for making other half a joint A/c holder on my Reward, BUT, wouldn't let me online.I phoned . they said, have to do it in Branch. and made me Apt, for Wed coming. Now I've filled the online joint forms in online( must be a delay after opening A/c )?, and they say, await a letter? by post, probably to go to the branch?
Why not ask at the start, is this a joint A/c you are switching, instead of after the A/c is open in one name only?:D
They love to get you in the branch. For the £200, I will go though.:-)
First switch, and probably my last, cannot do with hassle any more.0 -

If thats the case, you're most likely to be profitable for them :T
Hope you dont mind me asking... How many direct debits do you have and how much do you pull into your TIS every month?

I've not had one.
Is it really a free tenner or is there a minimum spend required before you can use it?0
