Oh god. Not another bottom feeding Ch4 documentary that it is bound to make a mess of.

    Not a fan of Ch4 dunstonh? :p
  • Wonder if this was the documentary I was contacted about? A researcher contacted me on Twitter, after seeing me post on here about my interest rate being reduced or rather simplified.

Thanks for the heads up, I missed that when I scanned the evenings listings earlier. I'll probably watch it but not convinced there will be any savings options that we didn't already know about, but you never know!

After the Hatton Garden heist, where some of the perps are found to be innocuous OAPS, I really think that they should do a program where they find drug dealers are simply retirees looking for a higher return on their investment.

Somebody should come up with a book claiming Sir Francis Drake was the first hedge fund manager.

Once we have established piracy and colonisation are good for return on capital, I'm sure the idea of The Middle East Crusade Fund will be very popular. We take over the Middle East, control all the oil, and apply for a big tax break: because we register as a charity, because we are bringing PEACE to the Middle East!

Their track record on financial programming is dire. The pensions one was awful and had many errors in it.

This is painfully boring. Also have no idea why they always aim it at idiots with stupid gimmicks throughout.

I reckon they will not mention
    1. that loans and mortgages are to be had a rock bottom rates, too
    2. that inflation is very low
    3. anything about 'proper' investments (equities etc)

It's probably an elaborate ad for that savings champion outfit. They are already tweeting every 5 minutes

Dispatches used to be a serious investigative journalism show but this is sub-ITV daytime TV standard.

Who would have guessed that different comparison sites give you a different view of the market?

So rather than where to save your money, it told you where not to save your money.

Didnt mention interest paying current accounts, didnt mention tax efficent investing in ISAs or Pensions.

Waste of half an hour really.
