Hi,
I'm wanting to do a bit of babysitting for some extra money. I'm going to make some flyers for local shops and the library but don't know how much to charge, does anyone know the going rate?
Thanks in advance,
alm10

Hi, I suppose it depends on your experience and where you live. My 17yr old DD usually gets at least £5.00 p.h.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member # 593 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts!0

I look after a friends daughter from time to time on a Saturday if my friend is working.
For a couple of hours, she gives me £20, all day usually £40.Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

I would also put some flyers in local preschools/schools/mums and toddler groups0 -
Thanks for the fast replies, I'll go for £5 per hour as that seems similar to what I ahd in mind too.
Thanks spendingmad for the tips of where to put flyers, I'll do that.

Good thinking spud30, I've got a few of them from this year alone as I'm training to be an Occupational Therapist and also am a part-time support worker.
Thanks again to everyone for their help.0 -
I'd also put something about yr age - I'd feel happier leaving munchkin with someone more experienced than a 15 yr old !

I work for a babysitting agency called Sitters the parents phone the agency and they text you and offer you the booking, the pay is £5.35 week days and £5.50 working before 6pm week days and on the weekend. I've been doing it nearly a year and have had offers of work pretty much every weekend since I started. The beauty of it as well is you can pick and choose what days you work.
Their web addy is www.sitters.co.uk
