payment claim from 3rd party

Hello,
My wife had an accident back in 2013 (hit mirrors with another car) and our insurance eventually concluded that was her fault.
Therefore our premium was increased and NCD lost.
We have now received a letter from the 3rd party insurance claiming a payment, otherwise they will handle our details to a Solicitor ?!
They did mention that despite the correspondence to our insurance, this payment wasn't recovered and now they demand it from us within 14 days ?!
Haven't got a clue where do I stand and how to handle this...

Send it to the insurance company that covered you at the time of the accident. Do not reply directly to the sender.0
