Good evening HG ...have looked at your curtains:Tand I have just got my colour charts out and think maybe a feature wall in the flame to compliment the pattern on the curtains and remaining walls in a Silvermist which is a pale grey.

Thanks Nannylala. I had wondered about a pale grey, so am glad you suggested it as it's not a colour I've tried before. My only concern is about it feeling cold as the room doesn't get much sun but I think I'll give it a go. I love the idea of a feature wall but don't know whether I'm brave enough to try it :o We usually go for things which are very neutral, so the flame colour in the curtains is a bold move in itself. I do want to do something that's different to the kind of things we usually choose though, so should maybe just go for it. I can see Silvermist in the homebase paint chart, is that the one you mean? It looks good :T

You have got it HG it is the Homebase one ....and I would do the feature wall as the window one and then it will not be too overpowering as the curtains will be up against it plus the window so it will not be too vast an area if you have not been so bold as this before. You can then pull it all together with some pictures incorporating the flame colours on the grey walls .My friends call me when ever they want advise on decorating schemes as my second name is Linda Barker :rotfl::rotfl:

Of all of the wombles we found today, a bumper selection thanks to this wind - only one had strawberries and cream - perhaps they are more often bought in more affluent areas which my Asda isn't in

My home bargains only had 5 salt and vinegar left but still better than nothing

Doing the window wall is a brilliant idea, I would never have thought of that :T (and it won't be too much to paint over if we don't like it lol)
