Just found a website that gives the up to date statistics for children living in poverty by region - my nearest town for all 4 sections its between 23 and 28% income after housing costs- ie about 1 family in 4 - shocking -

A house divided against itself cannot stand - I love this proverb, and thanks to my lovely family for making me realise that we can get through most things together0 -
If anyone is wondering, PYO Strawberries are ready in some areas - our local is £3.95/kg or £10.50 for the big basket (holds 3 kg - more with careful stacking
).
Cheaper to buy in the supermarket, but an hours entertainment for Little Anons makes it worth paying that little bit more.
I hear £2.50/kg box in Netto at the moment.
