    Good Afternoon :)

Was warm in mums flat radiator was aired ;)

I got told off for not ringing her last week :(
I looked at my phone and I rang 2 afternoons after work and 1 morning on way to work and she rang me once. Looks like I going to have to ring every afternoon after work even if I nothing to say :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Already rang her when I got home ;)

DS was waiting for me to get home then off he went to see his dad first time in last 4 visits . Last time he went he said his dad was a waste space always in pub and drunk.

I think it depends which airline you are using. I'm flying with ye olde Ryanair next week and I have a printed boarding pass after checking in online - as they charge extra (as always!) to have it sent to your phone.

I'm like you mhoc - I like the paper in case of dodgy phone signal.

thanks for this, all checked in. I've done the print off and also the mobile online booking in so both done - very fortunate that I've got copies of everyones passport for the 'justincase"

so you need your passport, paper boarding pass and your e ticket as well all clutched in your hand?

I know people are devoted to their phones and do everything on them but going by the problems Ive had with apps this morning I am never got to be a slave to mine :rotfl:

    AvM from last night

    1x Butcher's Selection Chicken Breast Fillets (1KG) £6.50 £5.99
    2x Butcher's Selection 16 Smoked Back Bacon Rashers (530G) £6.67 £4.24

Don't make the mistake of putting in the 10 pack of burgers (which MSM suggested would not have an equivalent - yes I know it is unreliable!).

    1x Butcher's Selection 10 Beef Burgers (851G) £3.33 £4.00

    HTH

Can i ask if u need to get the chicken to make it 3 for £10 & to compare to morri please, thanks x

No, it was the burgers that made up the 3 for £10. I could (and should!) have got three bacon. You could just get one bacon if you need as it is matching a single pack price in M (increases proportionally to match the weight as £2 in M for smaller pack).

I can see now why I like cruising from Southampton - book, pay your deposit, print off you e ticket, roll up at the dock on the day with your e ticket and passport, board - no worrying about size, shape and weight of bags or what can and can't go in the checked bag and the cabin bag, online check in, boarding passes, prohibited items, lithium batteries etc

I once took my mum to get 'free' toilet roll (ages ago).... she was shouting that we were stealing it. The moral is do not take a lady with Alzheimer glitch shopping!

Stopped taking my mom on glitch shops, because she either says very loudly " so how much do these workout too" or after being told to shut up puts her hand round her mouth and leans in to whisper making you look even more suspicious :rotfl:

So in home base this morning OH got the bit of guttering he needed and used his nectar card. I got a citronella candle and used my nectar card and it gave me a till spit for another 50 nectar points so I got some colour pencils :)
Everything has 15% off this weekend at Homebase

If you go to your nectar accounts online check your bonus offers. Near the top on both of ours it said use your nectar card in Homebase get 750 points - you have to activate this, 2 clicks.

So 1550 nectar points for about £2.50 extra spend - OH needed the guttering bit anyway.

from July 1st you can exchange £5 of nectar points for a voucher for 2 Pizza Express mains which sounds like a good deal - not throughly checked the rules and regs yet for restrictions. But it looks a good deal anyway - the fancy frozen pizza OH likes is 2 for £4.50

It also means you can avoid the lure of McDonalds :)

You can of course have tap water - nothing wrong with that. My OH is not very MSE and thwarts all of my efforts and he will insist on an overpriced soft drink.

I think I am going to get a Pizza Express gift card to pay for anything extra - possibly with nectar points, or if Boots sell them I will get it with my Amex card as I've got a Boots conditional spend saved - have to check this out.

tesco has/had a similar Pizza Express offer using CC points - not sure of the restrictions. But the points collecting at !!!!!! recently has been zilch whereas collecting nectar points with no spend or very little spend and not just instore has been quite fruitful

Thanks mhoc for the heads up on the nectar points:T we were calling in this pm to buy some undercoat and 750 points is a big bonus:) we also activated double point so will get a few more on top:)

Also there was a news item a while back which said to board a plane everyone had to have a fully charged mobile which would be checked and you would be asked to switch it on?
    Has this come into place?

There was a big song and dance about the delays it would cause to flights

I know most modern phones hold their charge for days now - I can only get a day out of mine if I am using it heavily - ie amusing myself while in a very long queue :)
