Strange things going on - remember those spoons? The ones off Kellogg's a few months ago, including the old Crunchy Nut trigger on the 3 for £3 that I managed to do six times:D and qualify for two spoons:D:D. (I mistakenly ordered a 'kids' one:o:o, but thought I'd complete the set with an adult one on the next order:T.)
I received a couple of emails at the beginning of May, telling me that my spoons were on the way and knew how to get to me very quickly or some other such rubbish(:rotfl:). I still haven't received either of them a month on and:ojust never got round to bothering getting the details and reference numbers back out and chasing them for the spoons. (Probably because I'd have to go back to the old laptop, and firing that up and trying to keep it charged for a few minutes to retrieve the details, that are on there.) Well, a couple of days ago, and I haven't even contacted them, I received an email, out of the blue, to say a spoon was on the way. And, then, this morning, another email saying the same thing!!:rotfl:
Maybe they are now on the way - or maybe they were posted a month ago to a non-existent place and returned to them who knows? Or perhaps they were 'forgot about' and, instead of being sent out, were left in a random place in the dispatch office or factory - these things happen - where they remained for over a month and have only just been found. I've no idea of course - v.strange. But perhaps I will get my "free" spoons in the end. (I was leaving the word "free" without quotes there just now, as I initially thought they were free, for me, as no effective payment made for the cereals - then I remembered they were about 28p each:(:rotfl: - still, an 'excellent' price (for the cereals) and the spoons, really, just an additional thing, of no real value or worth:rotfl::eek: (I can I say that?:rotfl::rotfl:), on top. Probably why I hadn't been too bothered chasing up something that doesn't, for me, make too much odds.)
I'll enjoy my spoons though, once/if I get them!:)0 -
Is anyone about to check an email me a receipt on the old system pretty please 0

Spoons en route since May is nothing compared to the box of crisps I have been chasing since February 24th - if I ever do get them I will name and shame the company :rotfl:Savvybuyer wrote: »Strange things going on - remember those spoons? Daft quuestion probably but do morries use msm ? the santa maria seasonings show morroes at 41p but im my stoopid store theyr'e 89p
but theyre own site shows 41p too
Do you mean "do Mr A use msm for the APG" (for M prices)?
(Otherwise, why would the price in M be relevant? M have their own Match & More but the prices you'd be looking at would be those for A, T, S etc. on their grocery sites.)
As for Santa Marias, weren't these on offer at something like 50p last week? I think they have been on offer, although never good enough for me these days to have small sachets of things at 50p:rotfl:, hence why they didn't even get into my noting down let alone onto the list last time.
I, of course, don't know what price the Santa Marias now are in store in M - as they are showing full price in the store, this would suggest perhaps the offer has ended but, under my old approach, I would have taken this onto the second store, when checking more there, to see if they said 89p there. However, why not just scan them in your store and see if they are 50p (or 41p or whatever)? (It's not unknown for a store to price them back up at full price, even when they are on half price offer - a customer in my first store several weeks ago missed the Dolmios moaning that they were on full price:rotfl: (I doubted that the SELs were correct) and, sure enough, as confirmed by my second store a few miles away, they were 90p 'half' price all along!:rotfl::rotfl:)
There can be some variances between m.com and the instore price. Not many but they do happen. In those cases, msm too (which gets details from m.com) will show the incorrect price. Occasionally, there are 'online exclusive' offers and msm will show the correct price for online but this will not apply to the APG (or to TPP) as they will use instore prices. However, the 'exclusive' offers are marked on m.com so you can see from there that they will not be the instore price. Otherwise, occasionally there can be differences - usually, I suspect, where M haven't yet updated m.com - like the human beings that they are, they don't always update every single thing that should be updated. Price differences and errors even always occur.
I've come across three examples in the last several months - some McVities Chives product, whatever it was, that showed £1.59 on m.com (and therefore msm) even though it was on offer (instore) at £1; the Go Ahead slices that show(ed) 84p online but have been 85p instore and one or two of the Pringles (including Thai version) that showed £1 on m.com and therefore msm even when they were £1.50 instore along with the others. They were not £1 on the Wednesday when I saw them all at £1.50 along with the others, marked down from £2.48 although, as this was just after the bank holiday, I don't know whether they had been briefly £1 on the Monday before. I doubted it - I suspect we had APG £1.50 M throughout - and therefore that the £1 price for just a couple of varieties of the Pringles was rubbish info. online (when I saw them instore the 190g size, like these, were all £1.50).0
