As to what has been happening at the channel tunnel, nearly 10 years ago OH had to get an emergency passport.
He went down to Kent - very long way from us, no Internet, no work mobiles then ...
He was second manning, riding alongside the train drivers going in and out of the tunnels, the trains were being jumped on by the migrants, the drivers understandably were very nervous, situation out of their control ..
Things have not changed much, got worse in fact ...
We went out and watched them running through the fields. Very scary think it was around 2002 is.
Think they saw yesterday's strike as an extra chance.
Really don't understand why the french, when finding them in lorries in Calais port, just get them out and let them go:mad:
Surely they are attempting a criminal act.
Would be easier to wait out asylum in France then legally come over once they have french citizenship. Long game it's true but more certain in long run:eek:
I truly believe the chance of claiming asylum is there for those displaced people in dire need.
Apparently there is a farmer near my dd so fed up people climbing out of lorries at Toddington services and hiding out in his barns he is rounding them up and calling the police. They are calling him the Farminator:T
This post is not to offend anyone. As I have said I believe the ability to seek asylum has been abused in recent year whereas there are people in real need of our support who are being overlooked.

I agree but don't understand why they don't claim asylum in France. After all if you are a survivor of war and you enter a safe country surely make steps to get your case heard.
Another very strange question and this is my ignorance. Many of the newer refugees from Syria ect I understand they had to leave property behind (I have friends who left Iran and many years ago cyprus). Some would have been financially secure (I realise many had nothing for a very long time).
The question is Do they have atm access to their bank accounts? I was wondering if our sanctions placed would stop them being able to access their savings.
As I have already said I ask this question to educate myself further to their plight.

I would check the codes from Walkers ... if Mrs Anon hadn't inadvertently binned them . Seriously, I am considering getting special labels for TMF or other promo packs to attach as I buy them ... or removing any packaging as soon as they come into the house. It seems that neither of us can be trusted with the safety of packaging

I have a 32gb memory card too but for some reason the films won't transfer over, maybe because they are from the Samsung hub.
I had this problem so read up.
Samsung put something on update so only music and photos can now be written to so card. If you go online there is a hack to it. I was going away at the time and wanted things to watch while away. Didn't have time to sort hack so took both tablets loaded with films.
Is it possible to save Showbox films to a memory stick? Place we stayed in had modern telly so memory stick would have meant watching on big screen. No wifi in room.
DGD is loving In to the woods. Classic fairy tale mash up with James Corwen and many famous faces in. No Showbox on hull so she now has my other tablet so she can watch her favourite show.
