So lovely - her hair, her skin, the neckline if the dress, the dress colour is luscious and the length perfect ...
Thanks mhoc. She isn't normally very girlie at all! She has really bad acne, and is on her second course of roaccutane (sadly it came back after the first course cleared it). Think the spray tan really helped her skin look better, and her friend is great at doing make up.

I spotted the dress on Debenhams website on Christmas Day (browsing as you do!) and just knew the colour would suit her. Drive to Milton Keynes for opening time on Boxing Day, tried it on, and it was perfect. Reduced from £250 to £50, and I got £25 back for paying with my Amex, so it basically cost £25. Accessories and bag all bought in the sale.

I dread to think what some people would have spent, given how cheap her dress was. I added up everything, and have spent in total (including cost of ticket) about £130. That is doing everything in the sale etc. We live in a fairly affluent area, and I know there will be girls will dresses that cost in the hundreds. Madness really.

Love it! We had a cat called Kipling many years ago. We made the mistake of leaving a slab of focaccia with olive and rosemary topping on the lounge table while we went to fetch the pizza and salad for a lazy nights dinner in front of the TV. The doorbell rang, and by the time we came back, a couple of minutes later, bearing pizza and salad, Kipling had eaten the entire top off the bread and was washing luxuriously. Our own fault for leaving it so invitingly on a low table!

They are priceless, the thing is you can't even get annoyed with them can you? I have many stories, Beefy constantly put a smile on our faces, he was so naughty. We still miss him and he has been gone two years but we had 23 lovely years with him.....x

Nothing really of interest on my shopping as I went the other direction.

As usual, if something seems to be really good value somewhere, it turns out to be much less weight, or number, than is stated online. Here, it's actually msm that is wrong (what a surprise:rotfl:) as I now, only now:eek:, check t.com and see that it has it right. You'll remember the Sains. Basics Gloves that I got caught out on at S (turned out to be just two gloves, rather than two pairs of gloves). Now, it's the Eday Value Chicken Roll that, at 55p, I thought was much better price per g. - 30 slices and 300g on msm - turns out to be only 20 slices and 227g:(. So, it works out at... about 97p when adjusted to 400g (A's and M's price and weight). It's therefore about the same price per unit and Avs M (10% cheaper), not in Northern Ireland, works out better (unless you have staff discount cards for T or M). I saw some 500g Bran Flakes in Lidl the other day at 59p. I thought that looks a good price but I suspect it's exactly the same as elsewhere when pack sizes are taken into account. So... 59p for 500g works out at... about 88p for 750g:(, so, yes, yet again it's about the same price as SP Bran Flakes 750g at 88p - and they were some 64p years ago - so, once again, Avs T (or M if it picks up M's product) is cheaper on the basis of the 10% only (or, really, the 90% payment - but it doesn't sound as good that way;). Or actually the 100% payment and the rest - you have buy at least 7 other different items - and then get a voucher that you have to spend, again in A, on further items against another shop there so they always keep the money).

It seems I've lost my dislike of Mr T, so I actually bought from them tonight:eek:. I need to be encouraged to go back to them, with one of the family, as they need to make use of one of T's other services later. We're both been putting it off so... I did a shop to give me a PP voucher to 'force' me to go back at some point in the next four weeks... we'll get it sorted now:cool:.

Quite a small shop (I don't spend much:rotfl:) and these are a few items from my shop - the ones that I'm letting you see:

These work vs A (just as well:rotfl:):
1x TESCO MALT WHEATS CEREAL 750G
    - £1.89 £0.97 £1.90 £1.58

    I also bought:
    1x T. EDAY VALUE RICH TEA 300G
    - £0.23 n/a n/a n/a
1x TESCO EDAY VALUE SPAGHETTI IN TOMT SCE 410G
    - £0.20 £0.16:j £0.25 n/a (:T410g for 395g as they pick up A's price. However :(not as good as A used to be 13p. They do not work vs M, as it seems they've not picked up the M product - what a surprise:rotfl:.)
    1x TESCO ANTISEPTIC WIPES 10S
    - £0.70 n/a n/a £0.75
    2x BAG RE-USE CLUBCARD POINT
    - £0.00 n/a n/a n/a
1x TESCO EDAY VALUE WASHPROOF PLASTERS 40S
    - £0.41 n/a £0.45 n/a
1x TESCO EVERYDAY VALUE GARDEN PEAS 1KG
    - £0.89 £0.78 n/a n/a I think the A ones are just "peas" rather than "garden peas":D:rotfl: (so, maybe a slightly better grade of peas:rotfl::rotfl:). Good job they compared, I would be cross with them if not:naughty::D.

I didn't actually use my CC - I know MSE says always use your loyalty card, however I'm still considering (dither, dither, dither...:(:rotfl:) whether or not to claim the points or whether it's best not scanning my CC at all, having them believe I haven't shopped at them for ages and sending me through some vouchers of far higher value than the few pence points that I would have missed. I have kept my receipt though and I'm not letting anyone else womble my points:D:D:D.

And...no need for me to spend fifteen quid in Morries trying to get the Antiseptic Wipes to compare for all of five pence (in points of course:():rotfl:! So, took the opportunity to use them as one of my 10 in T, very efficiently, on a shop vs somewhere else:cool:.

Beautiful photos Ladyshopper, hope your daughter enjoys her prom. What a bargain you got on the dress too :money:

I'm going up to see my friend in Scotland next weekend. Her husband rang earlier to tell me to make sure I bring warm clothes  apparently they still have winter duvet on their bed and keep having to put the heating back on because it's so chilly.
