Have you thought about leasing?
Brand new electric car for £139 a month for 24 months.
http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/renault-zoe-dynamique-nav-69-deposit-139-per-month-inc-battery-for-7500-miles-lease-2219527
I noticed the Leaf for about the same deal just after we'd had our 11yr old car serviced & the service chap said about 2-3K to get through next MOT.
I panicked as we needed a reliable car, we'd had the car from new & it had only done 28K so we put it in p.ex. for a 3yr old model but with a petrol engine instead of diesel. Same mileage but that much newer. Our old one I'd still prefer. They said that the low mileage was bad for car??? Had I seen the deals on offer I'd have looked into it more.
No petrol so depending on your mileage it might suit you as a 2nd car. Depends I suppose on how much petrol you use in a month. Might be worth looking into??
I hadn't thought about leasing. This will actually be our main car, the one we do our long trips in at least. That's why I am not entirely convinced a Corsa will be big enough.
Being really dumb here how to electric cars get on on motorways.0 -
