you can have a cake or a bun. if you are sensible you will chose cake and eat it :rotfl::rotfl:
I haven't heard mention of the natwest/RBOS fiasco today? I'm off work sick, but as a signatory for funds I had to go in. We had quite a few guys who were not paid tax credits/ESA/War pensions etc. Banks are giving out emergency payments over the counter but these are guys that have PTSD and othe mental injuries and would melt down queuing up in the bank
I think it's truly awful that Natwest/RBOS are putting their customers in such a terrible position for the third time in 2 years
I was stood in a car parts place the first time their Fiasco kicked off and my card was declined trying t buy a new exhaust. That was 2012 and they are STILL having the same problemsI haven't been paid but I'm lucky in that I have reserves to pay my bills and feed people. some people aren't
I saw people today crying because they were worried about having electricity and gas
feeding their kids, paying their rent.

Robinsons offer is changing from £1.98 to £3.76, 2 for £5.

Oh well, surprise surprise, who'd ever imagine that a new mbuy shelf price would be a worse price (from the POV of the normal shopper) than the previous shelf price?:p:p:p (Those 'stick-out tongues' there, to Mr A.)
Similar things going on in Mr M:p - remember those Pampers that were £4.25 a few weeks ago? Eday "low" price of £8.50, those are the ones! Now £8.50 and any 2 for £13:eek::eek::eek::eek: - thus, I work it out, that on old pricing it 'should' only have been 2 for £8.50 and not £4.50:eek: more expensive! Unless there is a very good price match to somewhere else, then I'd say absolutely AVOID the 2 for £13 at all costs - as I see it, it is a multibuy overcharge of £4.50 (£2.25 per pack:eek:) and having seeing you buying twice as much as before and thus overpaying to that extent. And the 'eday low price', as usual, is the most expensive price. Do not buy them at all now, as it is just even worse. (Unless only if a CB of the full price you pay plus a cheaper price elsewhere matched to come along.) Thinking of high prices, I saw some Quorn 'fresh' products, equivalent to cooked meats etc., and within those a pack of Quorn Sausages (the fresh not the frozen version) 6 pack 250g - these go down to £1, but, currently, everyday low price at £2.19!!:eek:_pale_:rotfl: Just avoid - in M's language, it seems "low" means "high" (even if of merely a rip-off now rather than a sheer rip-off of an even slightly higher previous price) and with every supermarket, maybe, the words mean the opposite of what they say. Bit like most people, a lot of the time:rotfl::rotfl:.0 -
That's it, I'm just over a third of the way though, in terms of pages, but having to go now as I have other things to do in the morning. Having to catch up with a week of missing information - items in bold may well already have been on offer for some time, but only picked up by me just now. Or, indeed, bold represents either new items or, in some cases, where the item is in 'normal' (non-bold) text, the price is in bold, meaning it is a new price - and, if just a price is in bold, showing it is a changed ("new") price, then it always means it is a lower price than it was before. (If a new price was higher, I would of course be removing or crossing the item out from the list, I wouldn't be keeping it still there!:rotfl: So - there is a logic there, if anyone can understand me on it (until I can come back here later and explain it better). May pay to re-read me (on this post) if you don't immediately get it:D:rotfl::(:rotfl:.)
Alright, goodnight!:wave:0 -

The single pots are 10 for £4 in-store (and 6 for £3), the multi is missing from A5da website and therefore the APG.
They compare to the 6 for £3 offer in Tesco (or check sains/morries).
6 mullers will see... £4.08 vs £3
4 remaining mullers see £2.72 vs £2.72
£6.80 vs £5.72 gives back £1.652 on £4 spend so 23.48p each#CHEEKY :cool:0 -
Wouldn't 12 mullers be cheaper (not more than 10 of each flavour)
£5.36 spend
£8.16 vs £6 so net £2.60 for 12, 21.7p each #CHEEKY :cool:0 -

Savvy, multi is missing on the 1.75L robinsons might even pick up T's price for early morning shopping - my test shop came to 55p/1.75L excluding fillers.#CHEEKY :cool:0 -

I remember the first fiasco as was day dgd was born. That problem was the whole banking system not just benefits.
I would not have liked to have been working at the benefit office counter today.
In the old days if a giro didn't turn up or get issued we could release a new one at 3 pm and cancel the old one. Not the same with payments through banking system.
I bet it has been a busy day for the food banks.
I understand, it can be totally terrifying to be so sort of money and then not get a payment. I think the banks should have to pay a fixed penalty to customers when this happens, like they are quick to charge if you go overdrawn:mad:
Off to Bedford tomorrow for a 3 night stay. Couple of things to remove from dad's that auction house wouldn't take then we complete early next week.
Our buyer is now in a hotel and we have allowed her to store all her stuff at the house.
Dgds birthday on Saturday and I have tonight collected the sweetie cones we are using as party bags. They are fab and great value at £1.50 each
Also booked a lovely spa day to go back to the center parcs spa at Woburn next month for dd's birthday treat. Taking the lovely naebbirac with me. Will be nice to show her my home town. Of course we booked the most cost effective package:T
Just present wrapping (sorry dgd but I still have peppy pig paper left from last year. Not buying frozen paper for the sake of it) and a bit of packing to do then driving up lavish tomorrow.
Hope the weather stays nice. We had lots of cloud this afternoon. Threatened rain but none came.

Yes Savvy, I posted it for you and others to highlight this and the Coke offer (going from 2 for £2 to 2 for £3) earlier. As it happens, they had both sels up in my store for Robinsons so it seemed rude not to get a refund for the overcharge. I didn't get a £2 giftcard but as I was looking for a swift exit with an unmarked receipt I kept schtum.
Now fingers crossed for the APG results...
