my friend has a job but for the next few months maybe more its quiet and he will b working zero hours he gets working tax credits just wondering if he will be able to claim any help to pay his rent hes in a private let.
No reliance should be placed on the above.

To claim wtc he needs to works 30 hrs a week.
He can claim HB if his on a zero hour though. But would need to take his payslips in to avoid an over payment.
No point signing on for jsa unless your earning less than £73.0 -
