To be honest, what did you expect?

I still have horrid flashbacks of my undergrad dissertation, which was held on 5 x 720kb floppy disks!

I shouldn't think your flashbacks are as bad as mine. I religously backed up to usb to start with then lapsed! I then lost my hard disk, with two chapters and my conclusion unsaved, the day before it was due in! I was so knackered I couldn't even begin to think what was in them!!!

Just churned out any old !!!!!! then so as not to miss my deadline. My conclusion couldn't have been more than 500 words long! Amazingly I still got a B so must have dazzled with the properly written stuff.

I was so worried about losing my Doctoral thesis, I had it saved to 2 discs
(one for the office, one for home), to 4 Zips, to a USB (they were VERY expensive at the time!) and then saved to GMail too!

I still have a copy of all my major documents saved to G-Mail!!! :o:o:o

Can I just say I'd never buy the rubbish labour Mirror! Any paper who supports this incompetent gvt who have knackered the health and education services, sent our boys to a useless war in Iraq and have now left us under a severe threat from mad extremist terrorists needs its news articles testing!!

And while we all scour the net for freebies, Tony has retired on a fat pension he doesnt need anyway as his house is stocked with freebies Sherie has swindled out of peeps and she earns more money than all of us put together ever will.

I dont buy a Sunday paper, but if I did, I would choose The Mail, or the NOTW. The Mirror would be the last one I'd buy. :D

the voucher is pretty pointless as it is only vaid for today and their is no option to send off for it like other freebies sometimes do. My local W H Smith does not open on a Sunday and the next nearest is in the city centre and cannot be bothered going all the way their for a 32mb memory stick
  • just been and got my notw, got usb straightaway, didnt have to tear out voucher or fill in details. yippeeee

oh, and once you realise all news papers are biased and basically crap, then you realise that not much difference between sunday mirror or notw or any of the rest of them and if you feeel a particular leaning to one or the other based on their values then you are admitting you're prejudiced. but we are all prejudiced one way or the other so embrace a nice little freebie when it comes along.

It surely is a load of bumfluff.
Do you think there is any point in making a complaint to the paper? It says a free stick for everyone but that isn't true if your WHS doesn't actually open on a Sunday!
