no blame claim advice needed

Hi, my neighbour opposite has reversed his car off his drive into my parked car stowing my driver side door in, damage to sill and wing mirror etc. He has given me his details in and I have contacted my insurer. What I am worried about now is that my premium will be increased. Does anyone know if it will. My car was legally parked unoccupied so I am in no way to blame.

You can check what difference having this no fault claim on your record will make to your premiums by doing dummy quotes onlined with and without the claim in your history0

If you claim off your own policy expect your NCD to be reduced until your insurer is reimbursed in full by the third party insurer. This can be a pain should your renewal come due before the case is closed.
You can avoid paying your excess and this temporary loss of NCD by not claiming on your own policy and instead claiming directly off the third party (either yourself or via an accident management company)0
