Replacement Cable

I need a replacement cable for a Gear4 iPod dock but have been unable to find one online. I have found a possible replacement from a wireless camera which has the same connector and similar input/output.
Does anyone know if this would be okay to use?
Original Input 100-240v -50/60Hz 0.15A Max
Output 5v---1A
Possible replacement Input 100-240v - 0.4A
Output 5v---2000mA
Device shows Input 5v---1.0A
The picture on the plug for the connector is exactly the same.

5v power adapters are 10 a penny as since that is the voltage a USB port provides loads of things seem to have adopted it as an unofficial standard. Given you've found a 5v adapter the important things to consider are
the output power rating which needs to be at least 1A which is the same as 1000mA
and
apart from the connector needing to be the same size it needs to be the same polarity but that will almost certainly be pin +ve
You should also be aware that round power connectors do come in a lot of different sizes and a picture may well not be good enough to spot any difference frome the one you are trying to match.

It looks like the only difference is that the original cable is rated at 1A output, while the replacement is rated at 2A (=2000mA).
The device itself will only draw the current that it actually needs, so the replacement should be fine. If the device is charging a battery and is capable of drawing the full 2A, then the battery will charge in roughly half the time as the maximum current has doubled.0
