How/why would a lender see a homebuyer's report?
Lenders usually ask for and receive only the mortgage report & valuation even if their nominated surveyor is doing the homebuyer's report for the purchaser.I am a mortgage broker. Sorry we are in scotland, my wording is wrong, it's a home report0

The same advice applies - it's only the mortgage valuation section they'll see. There are many reasons why they might not like what's there. Why do you ask?0

It happens all the time if the report mentions something which goes against their lending criteria.Changing the world, one sarcastic comment at a time.0

We are just about to sell, the buyers lender has requested an updated home report. This is being done next week. We had to get an engineers report on the house and I'm very anxious about what could go wrong0

The main issue is basically that some other houses in the street have had to have the outer skin of bricks taken down and put back up (timber frame house) due to poor quality bricks being used in the construction. Because we had some bossed/hollow roughcast the surveyor recommended we get a structural engineer out to do a report.
The structural engineer concluded that the house is showing no significant signs of defective brickwork known to affect other houses in the street.
I'm extremely anxious about it all. I've tried to copy and paste the wording but it won't allow me0
