Housing benefit reduced?

It could be that you were not entitled to any housing benefit for the period when you got your holiday pay paid and they have adjusted to take back
I believe that housing benefit does not work on an annual income but on the income at the time so that payment could have reduced your HB to £0 at that time, all changes of circumstances need to be reported so they can adjust so, now they have the info they can see you were not entitled to any HB
...where it may also become complex is that they will have included tax credits as income that was overpaid so, had the tax credits not been paid you would have potentially received more housing benefit0 -
I wasn't receiving hb at the time I got the holiday payment. They had my final payslip that had that payment on it from July. I applied in September. This is why I'm so confused! I understand it affected the tax Cred as it goes on the whole year but the hb team had everything up to date.0
