How large is the Windows 10 download?
[Deleted User]

I'm currently on Win 8.1 on both my Tower and Laptop, and now a "Get Windows 10" button has appeared on the task-bars.
two questions.
1. How large is the Windows 10 download? I'm on a severely limited download allowance, so need to know before I begin.
2. Is it worth installing Windows 10?
ETA: Is it possible to save the download, before installing it, so I can use it on the second machine, thereby avoiding downloading it twice?

The W10 update itself is reported to be just over 3GB. For the other question, look at the W10 thread and read some of the linked pages in there... the jury's still out on that one.........Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple

If you have Windows 8,8.1,8.1 update I'd say yes. Wait a couple of months though. It may be bug-ridden.Bedsit_Bob wrote: »2. Is it worth installing Windows 10?
Apparently yes according toBedsit_Bob wrote: »ETA: Is it possible to save the download, before installing it, so I can use it on the second machine, thereby avoiding downloading it twice?

"I have multiple computers, do I have to download Windows 10 on each computer?
You can download a .ISO file and upgrade each computer offline. The ISO should be available by the time Windows 10 launches."0 -
I think we need a W10 Sticky, same questions keep coming up.
The question for the OP is why are you on a restricted download in this day and age? There are unlimited packages out there for under a tenner.....!!!Drinking Rum before 10am makes you
