I would agree with you - gloss it beforehand, use a nail gun with finishing nails and/or grip fill it to the wall. If the walls are straight then gripfill alone will probably hold it fine (where mine are it works!)
This is with mdf. Real wood (we have oak in the lounge) I'm occasionally having to screw due to the walls not being true.
Ps I still think you should buy ready finished. It's sooooo much easier. And was only something like £5 more per pack than the primed stuff. This was from wickes.
It is in satin though, not gloss. But I wanted eggshell so this was fine for me.0 -
I already bought some bull nose softwood from travis and primed it on the weekend
I have two external walls in the room , the rest plasterboard , so i am hoping that i can use adhesive for the internal walls at the least ,m i dont want to have to use nails i can help itNever, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.0
