However I ABSOLUTELY REFUSE to quit, resign or leave. To me walking is not an option. This reign of harassment will end with me and my resolve/stubbornness.

I will happy process each one of these trouble makers out of the building before that happens. But I know my manager is going to use every tactic and pleasing to avoid me going and laying this before HE. As for evidence, I have recorded a written list of events, dates, names, times to the minute

Have you heard of the old Chinese proverb that says something to the effect of "Before setting out for revenge, first dig two graves"?

Sometimes its worth picking your battles, sounds like your lumbered with weak line management and often you have a much better chance of finding a new job than influencing change in an organisation

Sad but true in my experience.

Whats the culture like in other departments?

Assuming you are resolute, then you have been warned. You know where this can lead. It may not. But if it does that is the choice you have made. Just be clear that this is your choice, and the consequences either way are also your choice. I haven't been quite as blunt as I might have been with a member (of our union) or asked you questions that might be very intrusive (here) but not on a face to face basis. But I see the potential for this turning very nasty around questions of your mental health. If you think it can't get worse, don't depend on that. It could easily do so. And you could get badly hurt.

Just be sure that this is the route you want to take, and are willing to take the consequences of.

You do realise that HR's "action" may not be what you had in mind at all.

The purpose of HR is not to fight you battles, tread carefully.

In regards to other team members.... Of the original 8, three have left and have all cited the behaviour of these guys as a reason for leaving. One girl launched 5 separate bullying complaints and nothing was done apart from a seat move.

Within the boundaries of the company staff handbook procedures for dealing with grievances & all the legal stuff surrounding these types of issues, do remember that HR are primarily there for the benefit of the company. As someone else has said, be prepared to not get the answer you think you should.

Please understand that this may not go the way you intend, HR is purely there to protect the company, staff welfare is usually at the bottom of their list, Company comes first always.

I have worked at companies where complaints to HR like this wouldn't be investigated but that person would be put on the Managed out of the business list and be gone 3-4 months later.
