PPI claim turned down

I made a PPI claim to Lloyds just over 2 years ago which was turned down. Due to one thing and another (I won't bore you) I didn't get in touch with the Ombudsman within the 6 month period.
Have I burnt my boats or have I any chance at all trying again?

You get one shot unfortunately, unless you have exceptional circumstances to explain why you didn't refer it inside the 6 month window (long term injury, death in family etc) then that's it.
