Kitchen extractor fan, ducted cooker hood or both?

Sorry fr hi-jacking, but it doesn't seem worth opening a new thread.:o
I have two new extractors, one over the hob in the kitchen and another in an ensuite. I also have two redundant 6" insulated flexible ducts which go to roof vents.
I can't see why not, but is there any reason why I shouldn't vent the extractors through the roof of my bungalow, rather than via the soffits?0 -
If you get a cooker chimney hood - you won't need a separate extractor fan, because it has one built-in.
Within the body of the Chimney Hood should be a flexible pipe connection - so height alignment shouldn't be a problem.
On the outside wall, you mentioned a 'hole' when that is opened up right through, fit a baffle on the outside. This means that when the fan is on the air gets blown out - the baffle opens, otherwise the baffle closes down thus preventing cold air coming into the house via the kitchen!!I used to work for Tesco - now retired - speciality Clubcard0
