I did so a search but couldn't find anything so I apologise if this has been addressed before.
my iPad for some reason won't connect to iTunes anymore?
I plug it into my Macbook and it just says 'your device is no longer connected?
My iPad screen just flickers and nothing happens?
Tried the cable on hubbys iPad and its fine.
Any help gratefully received.

Are there any error messages or codes when you plug in your iPad?
This webpage may help with uninstalling iTunes on a Mac:

Seems I can't uninstall iTunes on the Mac?
No, but you can re-install it by going to http://www.apple.com/uk/itunes/download/ then running the installer.
Once the above is done, reboot the Mac then plug your iPad in again and see what happens.0 -
Thanks for all of your help.
Hubbys iPad doesn't have any problems so its clearly a problem with my iPad only.
It just doesn't like connecting to iTunes but charges ok so I will just put up with it and not have any backups.

Have you tried giving your iPad a full reboot (Not just turning off the screen, but fully powering off and then on again)
Have you tried a different USB port?
PLug your ipad in and unlock it, have you got any security warnings regarding trusting the device?0
