Best way to spend 155k Hilton HHonors points?

We got around 120k hilton points from a US holiday about 9 years ago. They are up to 155k now and we are looking to finally use them.

Any seasoned HHonors users out there with some tips to get the most out of them?

Such as best value for points hotels and whether there are any promotions during the year to wait or keep an eye out for?

    Focus on 5,000 / 10,000 point redemptions.

    http://www.headforpoints.com/2015/05/30/which-hilton-hotels-can-you-book-for-just-5000-points-per-night/

List of cheap redemptions can be found in a link from that article including Hurghada and Sharm in Egypt, Akyazi in Turkey and a fair few in Mexico.

A month's worth of accommodation awaits.

I've not used the Hilton points scheme, but many similar schemes offer better 'value' for premium brands. For instance Holiday Inn Express (midmarket) may cost 35,000 points/night but Intercontinental (flagship) hotel is 50,000 points

Check on HeadforPoints and FlyerTalk. With both you will find some good general guideance however you will always find individual quirks where a hotels cash price spikes but its points cost per room remains static and so they suddenly represent better value than normal.
