If you are deleted from a social media site (pic sharing and memories) do you have a right to expect all your contributions to that site to be deleted too or do the contributions now belong with the site?

Usually when you make a post (or upload a picture, etc.) you're giving permission for the site to host them indefinitely. So in most cases it will be up to the site owner as to whether they choose to keep your contributions.
As RumRat says, the T&Cs should cover their policy on this and whether there are any circumstances in which they might make exceptions.0
