Someone I have known for years sweet talked me and persuaded me to bid in a trade auction for used Vans using my account on a verbal agreement of starting a business together which he has now backed out of and now I am left with a demand to pay the relist fee close to thousand pounds

The problem
1) I only have a paper with his handwriting for the lot number. I have text message from him with the request to purchase the vehicle. Also I have a copy of letter which his accountant has written to the auction to appeal against the auction fee explaining that it was his mistake "due to unavoidable family circumstance"

2) I don't have an address for him to correspond or serve any written notice. I know his accountant and I know he owns a burger vans/trailers which are parked on various public streets which he operates.

This is my main problem can I correspond through his accountant or hand deliver to his burger van/trailer?
