Last iva payment. A few questions.

Options
Hiya, we pay our final iva payment in just over 3 weeks. Should I cancel the direct debit after this payment is made? Also, we had a 3 month payment break a couple of years into our iva, this was due to the arrival of our daughter. So originally the iva was supposed to finish on 28th march 2015. We've already had a financial review this year, it was only 2 months ago. I just wondered if we'll have to do another one. Our iva is with Harrington Brooks. Should I expect a letter from them confirming that the iva is completed? I know I will have to wait quite a while for the certificate of completion.

Many thanks.

  • My iva finishes in September and I've already agreed with the ip that is when I'll make my final payment. I'd have thought you should have the same Amount of clarity really - you're only obligated to make a certain number of payments . But/ I'd make sure all is on writing so I'd contact your ip and just say you understand that's when your iva ends so you'll stop payments from then and can they send a certificate of completion - if they don't agree they have the chance then to respond but I think your assumptions should be right.
