Will this get me in shape?

Hi , can anyone advise if this is ok to try for 4 weeks.

I go on holiday on 06/07/2015 and i was wondering if i'd lose up to a stone if i did :

every day for 4 weeks :
BREAKFAST : Natural low fat yoghurt over my special K adding grapes
LUNCH : Natural low fat yoghurt over my special K adding other fruit.
EVENING MEAL : Chicken breast & rice.

I go gym Monday , Wednesday and Friday. 70% Cardio and 30% weight machines.

Hopefully it should be ok ?? Thanks

  • That's very restrictive and there's nowhere near enough nutrition in it. Where's the veg? If you do manage to eat only that for 4 weeks you'll probably lose weight, but you'll put it all straight back on again once you start eating more food (and you will want to start eating more food!). You might get some side effects from not feeding yourself properly: things like feeling tired and cold, and you might be more susceptible to illnesses.

I personally wouldn't even attempt that.

If you lose a stone so quickly chances are you'll put it back on equally quickly. Why not look at longer term options, so you're not panicking a month before you go away each year?

I would avoid anything this isn't real food. So any shakes, or other meal replacement etc have no place in a healthy diet. Eating special K twice a day is just another form of meal replacement and isn't healthy or sustainable, no matter what their advertising campaign tries to say. Eat real food, in sensible amounts.

As tomtontom says: figure out something that'll keep you looking the way you like year round, not just around a holiday.

Good luck sticking to that everyday for 4 weeks. As others said, yes you will lose weight but do you seriously think you could hack it? I certainly couldn't, i'd be screaming for some decent food after about 4 days never mind 4 weeks.

You need fruit and veg for nutrients, you need protein for strength and muscle growth, you need carbs for energy. There's a good reason why health professionals advocate a balanced diet.

Also, if you want to lose fat, then when you go to the gym it would be more beneficial to do more strength training than cardio. Weights will rev up your metabolism and burn fat long after you've stopped exercising. But don't do that on the above diet because it won't work.

Spesh K's third ingredient is...sugar! If you go for (no added sugar) muesli instead it'll make you less hungry for longer for a similar calorie count.

    skip the breakfast cereal.

    Steak & egg for breakfast
Lunch - salad with lean meat eg roast ham
Evening meal - chicken with root vegetables.

Herbalife is nothing more than a money making scheme for those higher up the "shape". Don't involve it in your health and well being!

I would up your work out from 3 days a week to 7 if you can.
    More and more.
Even go for a run when you get up a empty stomach.

Then do more weights & gym after work.

Its 1 month of pushing yourselves to make quick gains. I would not recommend doing this all year as its to much work.

Not sure you should push this hard. I think you risk injury if you do. You should increase your workouts gradually and would need to fuel properly for them. Just my opinion, i'm not an expert, I go by what I read and what p.trainer has told me in the past.

As for food, I agree with the others, ditch the special k. What a con that is. just a way of eating more sugar.

I would swap the low fat yoghurt for full fat, eat meat & veg, limit the carbs. Eat berries with your yoghurt, limit other fruits to reduce sugar in the form of fructose. Try to eat proper food, so no processed junk. Cook for yourself from scratch and cut out sugar.
