    Hi

Many thanks for taking the time to reply - you sound like you have been treated apallingly by SFE - I really feel for you as it is extremely stressful as I am now finding out!

I am hoping and praying that Taiko will have found some loophole with mine having been a teaching qual that I previously completed. I also am led to believe that Social Work is indeed an exempt subject, as are some NHS courses so fingers crossed..... may be a long shot though.

I have still yet to hear back in response to my initial appeal to SFE but don't expect it to be positive and think I will have to fight it further.

    I will keep you updated.

    Cheers

Yes, thanks please do. If it is exempt you may have to part fund, i.e. fund living costs or some of the course fees for the first year but not all of them (as I understand it). Like you do if you do graduate entry medicine. But that will depend upon the course you've applied to.

They have been awful. I am seriously considering legal action, but have to get through these totally pointless, waste of time A-level exams first!

Best of luck with them - I don't envy you.

If SFE would agree to paying some of the tuition fees for the first year then this would help as having to find £9k is not a pleasant thought given my partner's income.

I should hear back from SFE by next Friday as the 15 day deadline will have passed by then so will let you know.

    Cheers
