Software off Ebay

HI all,
I have been checking out the prices of Windows 7 on ebay and various other places. What with retail and OEM versions and the legal licensing jargon, it is hard to figure it all out.
I see that on ebay there are many offers of Windows 7, said to be from decommisioned Dell machines, which are alleged to have a genuine (unused) product key. They are in the region of about £30.
Aria have OEM version of Win 7 Pro for about £112
What is your opinion of all this. Are the ebay offers legit.
What I want basically is a copy of Win 7 Pro that I can swap from one computer to another if necessary. I want to be able to go online to the Microsoft update service without fear of being told I have an illegal copy of Win 7.

Which machines, exactly, may be involved in this 'swapping'?
Motherboards or brand name and model.0 -
I got my Windows 7 Pro on eBay for about £30, same thing, unused key. Works perfectly, no license related problems at all.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

If you must pay for it .. then do this ^^
Microsoft frown on it .. But it will work perfectly.

Hi Nifty,
I posed a similar question to this some time ago and someone kindly showed me how to get hold of a Win 7 copy that was related to my mobod which is an Asus M5A 78L-M USB3.
It works perfectly and I much prefer it to my old Win XP. However, when I checked the license information with Window 7 Manager, it tells me that I have a "period of grace" that expires after about a month.
I understand I can extend the period of grace for another couple of months and then it expires completely.
This is why I am back trying to get a permanent solution.0 -
