Barclays written to me

Just need a bit of insight.
Barclays have written to me saying they believe that the claim for mis sold ppi input in in 2012 they wrongly said I wasn't mis sold it.

They have sent me a questionaire to fill in asking about my medical condition from 1998 when the loan was taken (I don't have one and never did) and about my company at the time sick pay benefit. I get six months full pay so remember at the time aaying would not need as I get it all paid plus if got stick Id have help from my husband. So I know I didn't consent to ppi.

Now ive filled in the form and getting a little excited but my doubting Thomas side is throwing caution to it saying calm down may not go in m favour.

I don't know how much loan was for but guessing around thousand as never like owing more than that. Just wish I could recall it.

Now my questions are

Do you think I'll get something. And does anyone roughly know what ppi cost on that amount.

Thank so much for any input.

Just be honest with your answers, you may need to provide evidence to backup your claims if they ask.

No-one will know what you could get without knowing the total borrowed, the amount of PPI, how long the loan was for, if it was paid off early etc - then on top of that you get 8% simple interest per year so the figure could be anything. Just wait and see what they offer - if you have no documentation you can't challenge it anyway so anything is a bonus given they initially rejected it.

Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Dont get carried away. Plenty of people have posted on this board about their complaint being reopened but the outcome still resulting in a rejection.
