Balance transfer supposed to be 0% but they are charging me

Well, even if they did manage to get a card this time around... they aren't getting another one for a long time.
Probably for the best :rotfl:0 -
OP couldn't have been checking his statements....0

OP didn't need to because OP knows that Santander is wrong!0

This could be a wind up, but it is possible that the OP is confusing 0% BTs with the kind of 'Buy Now, Pay Later' credit offered by the Argos Card, which dosen't require any payment until the 'later' date.
The only thing I can advise OP is to do as other posters have said, phone up & politely beg for mercy. And never sign up for anything without understanding what you are signing up for first.

Having spent my career working in complaints in banking... it is very possible OP misunderstood the idea of the 0% credit card. The fact that it has had to be thoroughly explained on Money Saving Expert itself shows that it is, in fact, a very common misconception. Bit rich for all to start judging and trolling the OP.... as if the whole terms and conditions of a particular account hasnt confused any of you.
Not everyone is as financially savvy as others - some, are clueless.
So unfortunately OP what you have been told on here is correct. As per your T&Cs, a minimum payment is required regardless of what percentage rate you're on. That's the whole concept of a credit card.
Even asking them nicely, it is quite unlikely (although not impossible) that Santander will re-instate your 0% balance transfer deal - nor are they obliged to. I would say try looking elsewhere however you may want to take a look at what your credit file is currently looking like as i dont think it will be very pretty.
If you are left in Financial difficulty/hardship by the percentage rate now being increased and subsequent higher payments due, take your complaint to the FOS to see if they can ask Santander to be slightly more empathetic...at the same time, speak to Santander and discuss the potential of putting your account into collections so they can arrange a payment plan for you, and possibly freeze the interest accruing (and also maybe wipe the charges).0
