Long haul (ish) where to go?

My daughter is looking at a holiday somewhere exotic (she really needs a break) from march onwards next year. She is a bit more relaxed about long haul, her partner is more nervous about the idea.Any ideas for possible locations. They are both 21 but not really into party resorts. Ideas anyone? They like the idea of AI. I did think of Goa, as maybe good for price and not too long a journey, but does it cater for tourists to the same degree as other places? 2 weeks.
Is there any guide for where to go and when, taking into consideration hurricane seasons.

Cuba
Very reasonable-good value and a place that will change completely once Castro dies and America gets a foot in the door so now is the time to go.
Some good early booking offers around too-definitely worth a shop around.

Another big fan of Cuba here:j
I love Cayo Guillermo (Sol Club CG) but there are a few other resorts to choose from, with some amazing beaches, depending on how quiet they like things, what they would like to see whilst there etc.
Thomas Cook used to serve a few different locations but they were very cramped on the plane - however this was reflected in them being quite a bit cheaper than other operators.
You could try Eclipse Direct/First Choice and quite a lot of others but as far as I am aware not all operators serve all resorts.0 -
Cuab is fab but what about mexico? it would give them the chilll out and the sites too, they will also be able to go to bars etc if they want to, if they went to a resort such as playa del carmen it should suit them where as cancun is big and a bit loud0

Cape Town. not too much of a time change and beautiful scenery and fab restaurants. Flights shouldn't be too busy in March.
Or maybe the middle east? Shortish flights and beautiful hotels, maybe Dubai or Doha0 -
Goa is totally geared up for tourists.I have been 6 times and want to go back next year.its is fantastic, and very cheap once you get there:p"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

Goa in early March yes, April onwards it can be dodgy - very hot and humid, but sometimes very little sun as the monsoon is on it's way. Not AI though, they will pay a fortune and miss out on cheap, but excellent restaurant food.
For a similar length flight to Goa (some airlines still stop in Bahrain) you can get to Malaysia which is beautiful.0 -
rather than booking from a brochure straight away, either take a look at the satellite tv travel channels, you can save loads of money by booking via these! if you dont have access to them you can google for their number.
we booked our honeymoon via sky tv travel 2 weeks, AI, 5*, dominican republic and saved loads compared to the brochure. you dont just have to book what they are showing on the tv. we looked through brochures chose a few hotels we liked then called them up to see if they could get us in, which they could. Our honey moon should've cost over £2000, but we paid just over £1400.Fight for clean hospitals, C-DIFF takes lives
