Advice for appealing advantage gold claim

Hi all. Am new to here but was after some advice. I've had an advantage gold account since I was 18 in 1998 I wanted a loan for my first car and was told would only get one with ag account and was only way I would get an overdraft so kep it going. When we bought our first home they said to transfer it to our joint account so we would both get the benefits eg home insurance and mortgage rate. We kept it for green flag and phone insurance. Natwest called me to say did I realise the green flag cover wasn't as good as customers expected so did I want to change my ag account so alarm bells rang. I did a claim and they have offered me £499 pounds which isn't a lot as I've been paying since 1998. Has anybody refused their offer and been awarded anymore. If not does anyone recommend going to fso? And if so has this helped thanks
