Stay in private halls over summer or move in with friend?

The problem is that I am moving out of somewhere I despise in a rough area and finding it almost impossible to find somewhere that takes people on benefits without a guarantor that isnt expensive and unfurnished.

I am 33 so get the shared rate which is about £60 a week(though everywhere I have lived I got DHP to top up about £15 a week but I cant say that on a form) and get ESA support group and DLA both at lower.

I did find 2 places that take people on benefits and a good price but not very well decorated places and both not available to end of July.

I was thinking to either move my stuff back to my friends flat but that would cost about £50 each way in man with van costs or to move into student halls over summer that are only 4 miles from current place then move my stuff after I find somewhere, they dont need a guarantor but rent over summer is £69(I would stay longer but after summer its £89) only issue is proving my student details as they want official documents to prove I am starting a course but the rent includes all bills inc wifi and has common rooms.

I can go back to my friend and live rent free for a few months but he has no room to store my stuff(its not a lot just a tv, computer, hoover and about 2 bin bags of stuff) but the moving costs would be a lot unless I know a cheap courier to move a tv.

What would you say is the best?

You don't know anyone have car?

Taxi could be cheaper if u don't have much item.

Also, I suggest you get some extra large laundry bag instead of using bin bag. They are easier to carry around.

All my family live far away and parents dont drive, and friend has a license but lives up north.

Taxi wouldnt be very cheap if I took stuff to friends as where I live is on the border of 1 country, and to get to my friends even though its only about 30 miles is in total 3 counties and many taxi drivers charge border charges.

I have 1 largish washing machine basket(a wicker one that is tall not a normal type) that can fit my clothes in and a few electronics.

If I get the halls of residence I can probably take everything but the tv myself on train but takes 2 or 3 journeys(only 5 minutes by train and 2 minutes walk from train station but its a mile from house to train station hence why I cant take tv)
