bought note 4 from local shop

So today my note3 fell and I'm told I'll need a new screen for £120so I bought a grade a note 4 from a local shop which I'm typing this on.

I have a few queries. ..
- the keyboard feels a bit slow...is this normal compared to note 3?
- it asks if I have a Gmail account...I say yes and it goes to the WiFi thing. ..but I don't have WiFi at the moment. Why is it doing that? Hotmail is my main account anyway
- Google thinks I'm in french...Google. fr. How do I change that?

- related to the above and of a bit more concern is that SFR comes up before the Samsung logo..what is this? Among the icons I have there are 3 SFR. ...SFR CITYZI and a couple others....does this mean my phone was a french return...how would I check and would this be an issue?
- how do I quickly transfer everything from my note 3 to 4?

It needs to connect to wi-fi to connect to any email account, if not you'll need to use your data connection.
Yes, it sounds like an ex-French handset, SFR is a French telcom and it's branded to that. It's only an issue if the phone is locked to SFR, but presumably you checked the phone was unlocked before buying?

Yes phone is unlocked. Looks brand new. Got everything up and running

Only thing I'd it's on android 4.4.4 not lollipop?
It's set to auto update so not sure why I don't have latest version?

Where can I get lollipop?

Also battery life is poor...Amy idea how to fix?

Though thought note 4 came with lollipop built in? Maybe not in France?

So if it's 5.0.1 in France then why is mine 4.4.4? Does it mean my phone was returned by the customer before the update came in?

So how should I update?

Why is battery so poor compared to note 3?

That sounds like quite a technical assessment. ..based on what?
Maybe the note 4 has a poor battery life compared to 3? Maybe a new update to lollipop will cure it?

Battery looks new.

Maybe all the background crap is draining it?
