Well, that's certainly good and refreshing to hear.

Last week, I merely went off half a dozen of your posts on page 2 of this banking thread (you posted them in Nov and are visible as the last poster). Examples, included:

    * "Where did you hear that? There is nothing you can do."

    * "Stop now and don't bother."

    * "Tell him to control his finances better."

But you're by no means the worst offender and having read more of your posts I can see you do offer good advice too.

I am sure in hindsight you can appreciate how the above posts would read to the uninitiated first time OP, who merely visited this forum for helpful pointers. I realise some people may not realise how abrupt they sound and of course, their intended tone cannot always be accurate when displayed in text form.

    Happy Christmas.
Please be polite to OPs and remember this is a site for Claimants and Appellants to seek redress against their bank, ex-boss or retailer. If they wanted morality or the view of the IoD or Bank they'd ask them.

Well that is not a good example at all is it. You went solely by the unfair charges thread which effectively died a death after the banks won the court case. "unfair" bank charges are no longer considered a valid complaint reason. The FOS no longer consider complaints and that basis and there are only two known successful court cases since that time (both a bit weird and not mainstream - such as the one where the woman was locked in the interview room at the bank).

People posting to the "unfair" charges thread asking how they can complain on that basis are going to be told not to bother unless its about incorrect application of the charge or its a financial hardship case.

Sometimes you have to tell people what they dont want to hear and sometimes you get people who look to blame others without learning from their own mistakes.

I have used forums for decades and originally posted on usenet (which pre-dates forums). So, have lived with the posting style that was required which was to aim for short answers that are quick to read and understand and remove any fluffing. Almost bullet point style in response.
I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.

Moneyineptitude - when I posted on the other thread that "dunstonh and myself have detailed our thoughts and resolved the matter" on this thread, I wasn't seeking your approval.

But thanks for your opinion (none of which would in fact help an OP who has wrongly been told they have no claim). The only person going 'off-topic or making personal attacks' appears to be yourself.
