Hi. Can anyone tell me please that should I own a flat on a lease am I liable should my water pipes burst and damage flats below? Thanks

Probably not although it depends on the circumstances.
Are you in England or Wales?
Do you live in the flat or do you rent it out?
What caused the pipes to burst?0 -
Or are you asking because you know that the plumbing in the flat is dodgy, or a plumber has advised you that it is dodgy - but you don't want to pay out to get it fixed at the moment?
(If so, that is likely to be considered negligent, so you would be liable.)0
