They still don't have to tell customers about cheaper tariffs they offer by collective switch, so its not 'all their cheaper tariffs' as the title suggests.

I first read this news item on the BBC yesterday and was surprised it was considered news at all, as suppliers such as Ebico were telling customers of this back in March
    https://www.ebico.org.uk/news/newsletters

Looking again at the the Ebico site, it appears in March it was just a final draft proposal (which was then expected to be approved as written)

I suppose the news is that it has now been approved.

The only change seems to be a delay for some reason in implementation - it was originally due to come into force in July this year, and now it won't come into effect until October.

    Any reason for this delay?
Ofgem has also confirmed that from 1 October, white labels will be able to offer four core tariffs, alongside their parent company's own four core tariffs....

The regulator also says there won't be a limit on the number of white-labels a supplier can have.
So if I understand this correctly, if a supplier wants to offer more than 4 core tariffs, they just have to create a white label or two, and now with these rules, the supplier will be telling the customer which of the multitude of tariffs they offer would be best for the customer.

Seems to be a great work around for the 4 tariff rule?
