Boiler woes Ideal Mini C28.

It's playing up again, suddenly decided towards the end of last week it doesn't want to light either when hot water is demanded or the timer asks for it.

It will occasionally work, once it's lit it stays on and we can get some heat into the house for a while, it's just annoying having to use kettles to wash up.

Anyway, upon attempting to boot there is a click and whirring, which I assume is the CH pump, but the burner fan doesn't start (normally after about 3 seconds when it works) so it doesn't ignite. It then times-out and shuts down with the green led flashing faster, but none of the other LED's are on so I can't follow the flow-charts in the manual.

Anyone know what else has to be working before the fan starts up? such as temp sensors etc?
