PPI claim problem

Hi,
I decided to claim PPI refund, but I don't have starting dates of my policies.Accounts that I am trying to apply for are not active for last 7-8 years.I have managed to find accounts numbers, but I don't have any statements.I have tried to find more information about those accounts via Credit Check, but each time that I wanted to get my Credit Rating Score/Report companies couldn't verify my data.I have tried Noddle,Experian,Equifax and each time they couldn't verify my account.Does any one know why they couldn't verify my account?Does any one have any advice of what should I do?Is it worthy of sending my request for PPI refund if I don't have exact dates of my policies?I do have accounts numbers, credit card numbers, but that is all.
Thanks for any help.

    Few points:

It's not a refund, you are complaining about miss-sale e.g. the product was not right for you (would never pay out say)

You can send a DSAR + £10 payment to every lender you think you had a product with - this is a request for all the info you have on you and may include copies of statements etc - beyond 6 years they may well have deleted the records in line with DPA laws so there would be no legs to this complaint

CRAs only hold details for the last 6 years, after that they are removed - you would have to ask the CRA directly why you can't access them

If you don't have any proof you had/paid PPI then putting in a complaint would be pointless as you could be alleging they miss-sold you a product you never had

What miss-sale reasons do you have and can you prove these?

Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
